National Conference Delegate Dies in Abuja


Alhaji Mohammed Hamma Misau, a delegate to the on-going National Conference representing the Association of Retired Police Officers of Nigeria, ARPON, has died.


Misau,a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, from Bauchi State, made news headline when
a photo of him taking a nap at the conference surfaced some days ago.

The late delegate, was seen being helped to a seat by an aide last Wednesday afternoon, when he attempted to walk to where his car was park but suffered fatigue.  According to his cousin, Barr. Mohammed Hamma, he died Thursday  night at the National Hospital, Abuja after a brief, undisclosed ailment at the age of 67.


The remains of the deceased have been taken to Misau, his home town in Bauchi State where Hamma said he would be buried according to Islamic rites shortly after prayer.


The Assistant Secretary (Media and Communication) for the National Conference, Mr. James Akpandem, has confirmed the death saying, “it is true.”
