Governor Amaechi is currently leading a protest as thousands of APC members in Port Harcourt have taken to the street this Sunday afternoon to protest
against elections held yesterday in Rivers State.
The protesters armed with placards marched to the council's headquarters at Emohua which houses the Independent National Electoral Comission, INEC.
.
Heavily armed anti-riot Policemen have taken over a portion of the ever busy Aba road.
Amaechi who didn’t vote during yesterday's elections because he insisted on seeing INEC result sheets at his polling unit first is accusing INEC of refusal to release the results sheets for the polls, though the result from the state is yet to be announced by the commission.
Meanwhile, according to Jega, "It is true our INEC office in Rivers state was torched, we have informed police authorities".
