Suicide Bomber Attacks Redeem Church in Jigawa, Kills Pastor and Four others

AFP has reported a suicide bomb attack on a Redeemed Christian Church of God at the Jigawa area on the outskirts of Potiskum, Yobe state. The Police also confirmed the killings.

The male suicide bomber reportedly arrived at the
church on a motorised rickshaw disguised as a worshipper, entered the uncompleted church building at 9:55 am in the Jigawa area and detonated his explosives, killing four worshippers- a woman,her two children and the pastor- instantly while the fifth victim gave up shortly after she was taken to a hospital.

According to AFP, the use of improvised explosive devices and suicide bombings has increased since May 29 when President Muhammadu Buhari took office vowing to crush the rebellion and at least 654 people have lost their lives since then.
