OAU Goes on 'Mid-Semester Break' Because...Glorified Secondary School?

The Management of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife,  has declared an indefinite 'mid-semester break' in the institution starting from Monday 13th July, 2015.

The closure is as a result of the current protest by the
Non Academic Staff Union of University, NASU, OAU branch.

'Mid-semester break' is a new name for a school closure right? Well, mid-term breaks in Secondary School last not more than two days, and so, I hope this 'mid-semester break' takes a cue from that in its duration.

Don't you think this is one closure too many in OAU? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
