LASU Students Close Down Major Roads Over Clash With 'Agberos'

Students of the Lagos State University, LASU, had a near-bloody clash with motor park touts, popularly called Agberos at Iyana-Iba, a bus-stop away from the school's main campus on Lagos-Badagry
Expressway, yesterday, Monday 22nd February 2016.

According to the narration from a student of the campus, the Students' Union branded buses were impounded by the agberos because the drivers refused to pay what they consider as 'outrageous levy' of N1000 being charged by the agberos on a daily basis.

This development triggered the students' anger and they stormed the park to release the vehicles back to the drivers.

Mr Adekoya Ademola of the university’s information unit confirmed the incident, adding that no injury was recorded.

The row caused a heavy gridlock from Volkswagen bus-stop to Okokomaiko as well as Lasu-Isheri road before it was finally brought under control by
policemen from Ojo Divisional Police Officer (DPO).

Hmmm, when agbero jam tush-agberos, body go tell them abi? Hehehe...
