President Jonathan's Accreditation Unsuccessful With Four Card Readers

President Goodluck Jonathan was accredited at polling unit 13 in his hometown Otazi in Otueke, Bayelsa State after failed attempts by four card readers.

After about thirty minutes, the fifth card reader succeeded in capturing his biometrics.

While leaving the location after a successful accreditation, the president urged Nigerians to be patient with the electoral body in getting their accreditation done.

The chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Attahiru Jega, had said that if the card reader fails to capture a voter’s biometrics, the commission’s staff at the polling units will resort to manual accreditation.

And GEJ just stood there patiently. How embarrassing that must have been.

Photo: Meet The Governor's Wife That Must Be Worshipped Else You Have Your Neck Cut Off...

Recently, a picture went viral that has generated a lot of condemnation from the public.

Yes, you guessed right,  it's a picture of Mr Don Etim, the Commissioner of Works, kneeling to talk to wife of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mrs Unoma Akpabio during one of the Peoples Democratic Party campaign rallies in the state.

From feelers, this seem to be the rule rather than the exception, kneeling, bowing or prostrating for the wife of Akwa Ibom State governor, Mrs. Unoma Akpabio, is a common feature in Akwa Ibom State.

According to OsunDefender newspaper, those who do not tow this line often have their 'necks cut off politically' and are considered to be anti-Akpabio’s administration.

Many of the commissioners in the state cannot stand before Mrs. Akpabio to talk; they must either face a different direction or stoop low before her.

A Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Dr. Glory Edet, was recently seen fanning her during the presentation of the 2015 Appropriation Bill to the House of Assembly.

Similarly, a member in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, representing Mbo State Constituency, Mrs. Alice Ekpenyong, knelt before the governor’s wife at the Independent National Electoral Commission office, where they were being presented with the certificates of return in 2011.

Oh, well, I choose to be silent on this matter to save my head too o. Hehehe
