How Jay-Jay Okocha Was 'Handpicked' As New Delta FA boss.

The list of delegates in the election that saw Former Super Eagles’ captain, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, emerging as chairman of the Delta State Football Association today, was reportedly shrouded in secrecy and not made known to all candidates in the
election.

NFF president and ex-Chairman of Delta FA, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, was allegedly behind the secrecy of the delegates' list to enable him foist the uninterested Okocha, who had served as his vice chairman, on the people.

There are confirmed reports that Okocha neither spoke nor campaigned to anybody that he wants to be Chairman of Delta FA until today's election where he polled 26 out of the 27 votes cast at the elections conducted in Asaba.

The election was supervised by a member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) executive committee, Babagana Kalli.

Oh well, sometimes 'free and fair' isn't just about the election day but long before then.

  1. I heard the other candidate was from Isoko and typical of the Isokos that don't stand by their own, he was rigged out
