PHOTOS: One Slumps at NAF Base, Ikeja, During Ministry of Defence's Temporary Staff Verification Exercise

Thousands of Temporary staff in the Ministry of Defence thronged the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Base, ESD field, opposite PWD Bus stop, Ikeja, for the verification exercise that took place from 24th November 2014 till today, 29th November 2014.
The exercise which was earlier scheduled to take place from 17th-28th November, was postponed due to some logistical reasons.

Four days into the exercise, precisely on the 27th Nov, an unidentified lady who has
been standing all day in the hot sun, awaiting verification, slumped around 11:14am and was promptly taken into the ambulance by Sergeant Lawrence Ozuzu and a young female doctor who was also on queue for the verification exercise.

Unfortunately, the parked ambulance's driver was nowhere to be found and an Airforce officer (name withheld) rushed to get a Sienna car so that the lady can be taken to the hospital.

Mr Habeeb Usman, One of the two temporary staff that helped carry the stretcher on which the lady was lying from the grounded ambulance to the waiting Sienna, said, "how these people can park an ambulance here for four days only for it not to be useful in an emergency like this beats me."

He further stated, "imagine standing here all day waiting for verification, soon they will tell us they have closed and that we should come back tomorrow. That is how this lady would have just died for nothing."

Naija, na like this we go dey dey? LOL.
