CALLER TUNE THEFT? The biggest Copyright-Infringement case against MTN looms. Details...

A Legal Notice of Intention has been served to MTN by a legal team headed by Barr. Rockson A. Igelige, an entertainment lawyer.

The legal team is accusing MTN of illegally using its client's ( Baba 2010) four musical works- Gentleman, Omotena, Twisted, Unity Song- as caller tunes/ringtones without authorization from the musician.

I honestly think it's about time we took copyrights issues seriously in Nigeria so copyright owners can reap the fruits of the long hours put into their works or what do you think? Please share your thoughts by dropping a comment.

    Imagine using someone's music as caller tune for years and making millions out of it. Is that not the height of theft? Sue their asses
