Food tip: Garlic, Honey, Eggs, Green Veggies, Cereals, Red Meat, Cream, Raw Chicken, Oysters

*Honey is good for those with itchy throats.

*Lighter coloured honey is more expensive compared

to the darker coloured ones.

*Garlic loses its flavour when
stored for a long

time.

*Garlic is good for people with high blood

pressure and those with kidney stones.

*Vitamin K helps in blood clotting and healing of

wounds. Eggs, green vegetables and cereals are

some sources of this vitamin.

*In order to tenderize red meat, soak it in

evaporated milk for 30 minutes prior to cooking.

*You can soften cream cheese either by immersing

it in hot water or by putting it inside a plastic

wrap and heating it in the microwave for about 25

seconds.

*Cream is actually a good source of vitamins A, B

and C.

*Not all oysters are edible.

*Chicken can only be left at room temperature for

a maximum of 12 hours.

*Utensils used in preparing raw chicken should be

washed first before using them again for other

foods.

* Heart disease can be avoided by eating beans on a regular basis.
