Glo reverts Blackberry data volume to 3GB - thanks to MNP?

There is no gainsaying the fact that Glo, around 10th of May, 2013, reviewed and reverted their monthly Blackberry data volume from 1GB
to dear old 3GB and 700MB for one week. This happened barely a month after the launch of Mobile Number Portability-MNP, but whether this reversion is an effort to keep their subscribers from porting-out; or an attempt to call back subscribers like me who already ported-out because of the reduced data cap; or even simply as a response to their customers' complaints, whatever worked, this is indeed a relief.

Before the advent of MNP, the best subscribers who were frustrated with their network providers' services could do was either expect the miracle of better services -if they couldn't change their numbers because of the trouble it will take to communicate the change to all their contacts- or simply swap network providers by buying another network Sim.

None of these options affected their subscribers count, but with MNP, a subscriber porting-out of a network means one subscriber less to the network provider whose number is still retained by the subscriber though credited with another subscriber's recharge card. That, to me, means the subscriber is now KING, and should really make service providers sit up.

And who knows, maybe, just maybe, we'll finally see a flying pig!
