The governor’s convoy had obeyed the red traffic light on the ever-busy Bosso Road near the Obasanjo Shopping Centre when the youths spotted him.
They rushed to his vehicle making uncomplimentary remarks about the actions of his administration until he was forced to wound down the side glasses of his metallic black Prado Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) and spoke with them.
The vociferous youths told the governor that civil servants were no longer paid their salaries as and when due and that most of the water taps in the state had dried up since he came into office.
Justifying the policies of his administration, Gov Bello told them that once the investigation on the financial dealings of the last administration was completed, the situation would improve.
