Read Statement as Gov. Okowa Admits Ignorance About Ese Being From Delta

The Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has expressed shock that he didn’t know that an indigene of his state, Ese Oruru, was in captivity in Kano state.

In a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Charles
Aniagwu yesterday, Okowa said Ese Oruru’s abduction saddened him.
Hear him:

“Not until yesterday (29/2/2016), I did not hear of this saga; not even the fact that the girl is an indigene of Delta state. I am very much interested in this case and I want the police to take it to its logical conclusion, nothing short of diligent prosecution of the abductors would be satisfactory".

Imagine a governor with so many appointed SSAs, SAs and PAs on Social media, new media and all types of media claiming not to have heard about or known which state a victim whose story went that much viral was from, even with a name as Deltan as Ese!

Here's hoping your numerous media aides report similar serious matters that requires the action of your office.
