PHOTOS: President Obama reunites with long-lost family in Kenya

In a visit termed his first to his paternal country, Kenya, since being elected, President Obama had a very warm greeting from his fellow Kenyans on Friday evening.

He was welcomed at the airport by Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta, half-sister Auma, and a group of high-ranking Kenyan officials in Nairobi from where he was taken to a hotel to dine with other Obamas including his step-grandmother, Mama Sarah Obama, whom he calls 'granny'. Auma Obama was born to his father's first wife.

He is on a state visit to the country's capital.
