Shame to Journalism: The Different 'Unconfirmed' Versions of Jonathan's ex-CSO's Death

The Trent reported the death of Gordon Obua, the Chief Security Officer to former President Goodluck Jonathan last night but had little or no details about how it happened.

Breaking Times and other online news blogs ran with
the unconfirmed news quoting 'sources' to support their gist and even calling the wife a 'widow'.

Punch Newspaper came on board with another unconfrmed gist that Gordon Obua is not dead but in a coma.

TheCable said he was hospitalized yesterday and discharged yesterday! So much for journalism in Nigeria!

While I and others patiently await official confirmation/debunking of the ex-CSO's rumoured death from DSS, his family or lawyer,  recall:

- his lawyer had raised an alarm on Sunday that Obua was denied access to outsiders, including his doctor, lawyer and family members as well as food, water and his medications for hypertension and diabetes while the DSS insists Obua refused food or water in protest of his arrest and detention.

Watch this space for the developing story...
