I Used To Sell Akara - Don Jazzy

Looking for a diamond that wasn’t made by pressure? Then you ain’t looking for Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy.

Unarguably the most exceptionally humble and funniest celeb on twitter who interacts with his fans and followers on a second-to-none level, Don Jazzy felt the need to inspire his twitter-fans early this morning with
what he calls a ‘BackWhen’ tweet-story:

According to him, he used to sell not just akara (fried beancake), but also agidi (Nigeria’s cornflour jello sort of), akamu (pap), fried yam and plantain with his brother, James,[Pictured Right above] in Ajegunle and had to walk all the way from Awodiora, through Mba and Orege to Boundary market. Talk about walk of life!

Comparing his backwhen story to his story today in what he hashtagged, #MakeOverByGod, which unlike Mary Kay never fades away, the Mavin boss says he is even more thankful to God when people don’t believe what his yesterday was like.

James confirmed the story by a tweet:

Today, former CEO of Nigerian record label ‘Mo' Hits Records’,  Don Jazzy, is a Nigerian Multi awardwinning  record producer, singer-songwriter, musician and CEO of the Mavin Records label.
He recently was rated as the 36th "Most powerful celebrity in Africa" according to Forbes.

Don’t we all just need a MakeOverByGod?
