#BBATHECHASE Tanzania’s Nando Disqualified after 9-Weeks ... for being himself? Get the Full Gist Here

Nando and Elikem during the showdown

Sunday July 28 saw Annabel and Sulu evicted from the 91-day reality show; Tanzania’s Nando disqualified; and Ghana’s Elikem issued his first strike by Big Brother.

This season Big Brother has imposed a Three Strike Rule applicable to Housemates who commit serious infringements with the third strike resulting in disqualification from the game.

22-year-old Nando from Tanzania was issued a first strike and a stern warning from Big Brother in week five of the show for carrying a knife to the Channel O Party.

Following a heated face-off instigated by Nando that saw him and fellow housemate Elikem exchanging fiery words late Friday night, Big Brother gathered all the Housemates in the living room after Sunday’s
Evictions and issued a second strike against Nando – for provocation and concealing a pair of scissors in his bed after the argument.

The possession of weapons or intention to be violent in the House is a violation of the Big Brother rules.

“Any Housemate who becomes physically violent will be removed from the House immediately. Violence can refer to self-inflicted violence, or violence towards another. Violence includes provocation, goading, bullying and victimization,” said Biggie.

Afterwards Nando was called into the Diary Room. He was given his third Strike for making threats against Elikem’s life, saying:

“I feel like stabbing him. A nigga like that deserves to die”.

With three strikes, Big Brother struck Nando out of the game.

After the Disqualification Diary session, Nando was told to immediately exit the House and Biggie called upon Ethiopian Bimp as the Head of House to pack his pal's clothes.

Bimp, who took the news of Nando's departure the hardest of all the Housemates and sat trying to process everything that just went down with his head hanging low and face sunk in his hand, got even more upset by this request as he first tried to ignore Biggie’s calls and just lied on the bed staring blankly with a sad look on his face.

Eventually Bimp heeded Big Brother’s calls with Dillish helping to pack up Nando’s things before he headed to the Diary Room to hand them over.
Big Brother then gave a warning to the Housemates to conduct themselves as adults.

Some East Africans feel Nando was NOT supposed to be disqualified since Big brother is a reality show and all participants were expected to openly express themselves to the best of their ability. What do you think? Leave a comment!
