Selena Gomez officially turned 21 on July 22, 2013, same
day a certain royal baby arrived! And if you think she didn’t get plenty
of birthday love because of that, you’ve got another think coming!

Saturday Night
* Selena honoured another birthday girl, Julianne Hough, at Hollywood ’s swanky Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles , California

*Selena showed off her devilish twist as she stepped out in
an LBD and feather boa with sheer polka dot sleeves, bold red lips and a
headband of red devil horns that made her appear more like a bad girl.
*This also turned to her pre-birthday party as she was also
treated to a leopard-print inspired cake in honor of her special day.
Sunday Night
* A bevy of friends surprised Selena in a graffiti-filled
warehouse late Sunday night to usher in her big day.
Monday Morning
* She rang in the day by releasing a fun music video
for her pop party track titled "Birthday".
*But that's not all: Never one to leave her Selenators
hanging, she also shared the video of the party at her home on YouTube ,
where she was spotted singing, dancing, and wearing a birthday girl crown.
Monday Night
* The "Come & Get It" singer, dressed casually
in white shorts and an embellished shirt, headed to Bagatelle restaurant in
West Hollywood, Los Angeles
to celebrate on Monday night with a private dinner for about 20 people, all
close family and friends.
*She was surrounded by her mother, Mandy Cornett,
stepdad Brian Teefey and gal pals like her “Spring Breakers” co-star, Ashley
Benson and "Secret Life of the American Teenager" actress Francia
Raisa.
*Though Teefey bought shots for the gang and Selena popped bottles of Champagne before jumping onto
the bar to dance, the ‘birthday girl’ didn't bother with a silly thing like
birthday shots (now that she's of legal drinking age!) or a cake with candles
to celebrate.
*Instead she toasted her next year with a huge plate of Jack
in the Box tacos, a surprise gift from her friends, and shared a snap with her
fans via Instagram "My cake was… Jack in the Box tacos…
Yes," she wrote.
* What she gave herself: Selena, though showered with gifts on her birthday from family, friends, and fans, revealed to "Omg! Insider"correspondent, Keltie Colleen, that she ‘gifted’ herself, not with shoes or bags, but with a very practical present on her 21st birthday — a car!
"I've had the same car since I was 16,” the pop
princess shared. "I had the same car forever, so I've waited long enough
and 21 was perfect".
Though her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, is driving
around town in Ferraris, Porsches, and Fiskers, Gomez opted for a rather
practical SUV that just happens to have a starting price of $47,500. Not
exactly cheap, but for a celebrity it is!
"I got a BMW X5," she said, smiling.
