Fred Amata Emerges DGN President After 3 Attempts + Result of The Votes

Veteran filmmaker, Fred Amata, has emerged the President of the Directors' Guild of Nigeria (DGN).

The prolific actor cum director was declared President-elect of the guild after the election conducted yesterday, February 26, 2016, in Asaba,
Delta State.

He beat his closest rival, Lancelot Imasuen, with five votes to emerge the winner of the election. Amata got 48 votes, while Lancelot got 43 votes.

Meanwhile, Dickson Ireogbu and Kingsley Omoefe, got three and seven votes respectively.

Amata will succeed Andy Amenechi who resigned as the President of the guild prior to the election.

This is the third time the new President had contested for the same position before he finally held the trophy of victory yesterday.
