Kachikwu Apologises To Nigerians, Promises an End To Fuel Scarcity By New Date

The Minister of State Petroleum, Mr Ibe Kachikwu has appeared before the Senate Committee On Petroleum Downstream which ordered his appearance to explain the unending fuel scarcity across the country.

While there, he apologised for the offensive remarks he made at the State House where he was quoted as
saying he is not a magician.

He also said that contrary to calls in some quarters for his resignation, he is not going to resign as he has work to do.

According to Ibe Kachikwu, "all those who drove all the way to Abuja to call for my resignation are only wasting their time".

Speaking on the persistent fuel scarcity, Mr Kachikwu said fuel queues would disappear in the first week of April.
