Britain's Royal Baby Arrives, It's a Boy for Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge



The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a baby boy, Buckingham Palace says few minutes ago.

The Royal Baby weighed 8lbs 6oz and was born at 4:24pm, and "The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh are delighted at the news of the Royal Baby’s birth".

 The Duchess of Cambridge was taken to hospital in the early stages of labour. She travelled by car in
the early hours of Monday morning with her husband the Duke of Cambridge, by her side
Hundreds of people gathered outside the private Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, West London, where the Duchess of Cambridge was admitted.


There was also a heavy media presence at Buckingham Palace, where news of the birth was formally announced. 

Prince William was present for the birth. Kate and her son will stay in hospital overnight.

Formal bulletin was posted outside Buckingham Palace
