DJ Khaled Insists a Hip Hop Wedding is in the Offing…if Nicki Minaj Accepts $500,000 Diamond Ring

DJ Khaled poured his heart through a videotaped message which aired on MTV on July 25, pulling out a 10 karat radiant cut diamond ring worth about $500,000 and asking for Nicki Minaj’s hand in marriage.

“Nicki Minaj, I’m at MTV, I’m going to be honest with you; I love you. I like you, I want you, I want you to be mine,” Khaled said, his big puppy dog eyes looking into the camera.

“We got the same symptoms, we’re both suffering from success,” he continued. “if you gotta take your time and think about it, I understand, but I know I have to be here today to let you know how serious I am and how serious this is to me.”

Finally he popped the question: “Nicki Minaj, will you marry me?”

The rumour mill was in full spin as fans tried to guess if

his request was sincere since they were pretty sure the two aren't even DATING, so the proposal came out of NO WHERE!

Or if it was an intricate plot to unveil a new single.

That proposal was no joke, guys! One day after asking Nicki, 30, to marry him in an amazing video, the 37-year-old hip-hop star spoke out again on July 26, and reinforced that he totally meant everything insisting this was not a game in an interview with DJ Felli Fel on Power 106.

"I just had to be honest. I always liked her. She’s my friend, of course. And I like her. It’s more than a crush,” Khaled confessed live on air. He then went on to say, “I feel like I understand. I know she’s out there hustling and I respect that. I feel like I can take care of her and not just that, she’s beautiful.”

Although Nicki has yet to respond to Khaled's request, it appears that he is prepared for any outcome. He states,“If she says no, it’s all love. She’s my friend. She might not be ready for marriage. I want kids, I want a lot of things, but you gotta be ready for this.”

Khaled closed the interview by proposing to Minaj once more,"Nicki Minaj, I love you. Nicki Minaj, will you marry me? I ain’t changing that.” 

DJ Khaled is doing everything short of screaming off a rooftop to make sure the world knows how he feels about Nicki Minaj. The hip-hop star announced his devotion to Nicki, again while on a red carpet in New York City same day on July 26.

 “I want to marry her! I was serious,” Khaled told Us Weekly.

So there you have it folks, DJ Khaled only has eyes for Nicki Minaj. We'll just have to wait and see how this plays out.

All Khaled does is win, but will he win the girl?

Nicki is yet to say yes but she did retweet DJ Khaled's proposal video yesterday. Maybe she's going to make him get down on one knee in front of her before she slips that ring on her finger!

The DJ, as he displayed in his heartwarming proposal video, is going to be patient and doesn’t expect to hear a response immediately — he knows he dropped a bomb on Nicki.

“She can take her time and think about it,” Khaled said. “At least she knows how I feel now.” This guy’s such a big teddy bear and we can’t get enough of it!

I thought Khaled was genuine the entire time — you can really feel his love for Nicki overflowing! It’s good to see that he’s sticking to his guns and is brave enough to put his feelings out there.
